Well I'm writing more in my alien story which I named Escape. I even came up with an entire idea (how weird is THAT?)
I was telling my mother that I was writing (which she was bugging me about nonstop to "do something constructive") and she said "you should see if you can come up with a whole idea for a story" and that kinda made me mad, seeing as I've tried to come up with different story ideas with no avail. So I told her my idea for the alien thing, and I was like "isn't that a good idea??" and she was all surprised when she said "yeah, it's really elaborate" (I don't think that's what she actually said, but that's the gist of it.)
I don't even have an entire page of this story yet, seeing as how I restarted it. For this story, it was the first time. I restart my stories because, as told, it's better when I do. And I have this OCD-type thing about writing. If I don't like it, I pitch it. I don't care how many people tell me how good it is, if I don't like it even the tiniest bit, it's gone. And so to keep from doing that, I try to make it better, starting at the beginning.
When we get to Gatlinburg Monday, I'm sure to have story ideas flooding in, and I'll have my laptop, so I can get them down easily. I'll also have my writer's notebook if I can't type. I can get some good scenery down there, too.
For some reason, my friends come to me for their writing ideas. Such as: Meghan asked me to write a story that I liked, I don't remember what it was, but I know I liked it; and Autumn told me one of her vampire story ideas. I didn't like it much because it wasn't the type of thing I'm into...
Ally is a writer, too, so she doesn't come to me. She's a pretty good writer, and if she learned not to take the easy way out of spelling, she'd be wayyyy better.
